FWC Crisis
SEAMUN I — Policies with a Purpose
An advanced fantasy crisis committee for grades 9–12 and university students. Debate psychic experimentation, gifted-minor protection, and mind-weapon non-proliferation under special rules of procedure with 10 character seats and 2 chairs.
FWC is one of ten committees at SEAMUN I, a student-led, non-profit Model UN conference focused on global healthcare and sustainability. 100% of surplus is donated to the Thai Red Cross Society.
The Fantasy World Committee is SEAMUN I’s fantasy crisis committee. Delegates represent characters in a fictional universe of psychic research, government labs, and gifted minors—responding to fast-paced crisis updates with directives and negotiation rather than country blocs alone.
Type: Fantasy · Difficulty: Advanced · ROP: Special · Crisis: Yes. Expect moderated debate, caucusing, and crisis updates that can shift the agenda.
SEAMUN I 2027 — January 16–17 at D-PREP International School Secondary Campus (Bang Phli, Samut Prakan). Open to grades 7–12 and university students (FWC itself is grades 9–12 & university).
Delegates: 2,500 THB. Chairs: 800 THB. Photographers & advisors: 0 THB. Conference capacity: 200 delegates, up to 60 staff.
Two curated topics for SEAMUN I FWC.
Delegates examine how institutions that study or weaponize psychic gifts must protect minors—balancing security claims, rehabilitation, and accountability for past harm. Research position papers and follow special crisis procedure once the chair report and ROP are published.
Debate how psychic technologies and mind-based weapons should be contained, regulated, and kept from proliferation—and what crisis protocols apply when those capabilities escape institutional control.
10 character assignments. You will be allocated one when you register as a delegate.
FWC follows Group 3 with ECOSOC, Interpol, and UNODC at D-PREP International School Secondary Campus.
